Certification & Care

All our jewelry is made in Portugal, with silver sterling 92 or silver 925 with gold plated. Each piece is hallmarked for authenticity and certified by the INCM - Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda. Specifically, INCM checks the legal touch (precious metals per thousand in alloys) and the application of contrast with the responsibility mark, manufacturer or equivalent. Portugal and Switzerland are both members of the International Convention on the Control and Marking of Articles of Precious Metals.

Whether gold-plated or rhodium-plated, ESTORYA pieces are made from Sterling Silver. 925 Sterling Silver is a lightweight metal made of 92.5% pure silver. It is durable and designed for everyday use. Nevertheless, we ask your attention to the following:

It is not uncommon for gold-plated items to lose their color with age, and silver sterling 925 can tarnish. If your jewelry is exposed to household chores, substances containing additional sulfur, salty or normal water, make-up, perfumes, hairspray, body oils, or rubber, for example, these processes may be accelerated. If you want to keep your jewelry in best condition, we recommend you remove it daily, store it in a dry place with an anti-tarnish strip, and keep it away from humid environments or direct sunlight.
